WHY DO I COLLECT?

Why do I collect? That's easy... because it's so much fun! Ever since I can remember I have been going to flea markets, antique shops, yard sales, you name it. Wherever I could find some sort of interesting treasure or cool piece of junk! I love driving around in search of new places or revisiting my favorite spots. I come from a family of collectors and have lived amongst antiques and collectibles my whole life. I have a passion for decorating especially with things that I find in my travels or even things found in the trash... which by the way can be some of the best stuff! But for those who share the same passion, I don't have to tell you... you all know what fun it is and how addicting it can be! Here I will share my collections, interesting finds, decorating tips, photos, projects, friends collections and thoughts and whatever else I may find along the way.

ANTIQUING IN NJ

So we decided to head out to the Columbus Flea Market in
Columbus, NJ on Saturday only to find out that Saturday is not
the day when the antique vendors are there.
But we did go into the Columbus Antique Mall which is right
across the parking lot from the flea market.
2 buildings with lots of good stuff!

Afterwards we headed through New Egypt, NJ
where we found a few yard sales and thrift shops.
From there we went to the Grist Mill Antique Center in
Pemberton, NJ.Yay! I love this place! It's very ME...
all the stuff I love! Restaurant china, vintage kitchen
stuff, pottery and more!

Their other location, Haddon Heights Antique Center in
Haddon Heights, NJ was also amazing! I was racing the clock
as we got there at 4 and they closed at 5! So much to see!
Came out with this cute vintage plant stand and pottery and awesome
restaurant bowl. Also got some vintage jewelry and a gift
for a friend! Oh and both antique centers were
having 20% off sales on Saturday!

LAST FEW WEEKENDS

Fun time at the Golden Nugget Flea Market in
Lambertville this past Saturday with George and friends Jenny and John.
I'm very happy with my tin trash can and pretty green McCoy planter!
The black tin trays were found at a yard sale last weekend...
4 of them for $2!

Found this beautiful white McCoy vase at
last Sunday and this tin kitchen canister in mint
condition was a yard sale score for $2.

And yes, more pottery! 2 planters were found at Care & Share
in Souderton and the cute little pink planter with squirrel was
25 cents at nice little flea market on the way to Care & Share!

George and me... Jenny, John and George deciding on where
to eat lunch and me and Jenny feeling very happy with our purchases!  :-)
