More from my restaurant/hotel china collection. I love oval plates and also odd pieces like these celery dishes. I got the top oval plate from Antique Haven in Riegelsville, PA, which is one of my favorite places, and it says Joy Yoeng... probably from a cool old Chinese restaurant... and the middle plate from Browns Diner was purchased at a yard sale for 50 cents! I was very pleased with that purchase since I had seen the same plate at Atlantique City for $75!

Fantastic post! Would you please let me know if you have anything from the old Grunewald Hotel in New Orleans? That is my family, and it is hard to find. I would be forever grateful! Thanks.

Interesting! Please what can you tell me about the age of the Joy Yoeng platter? Can you date it by the makers mark on the back? I just bought one. If you can date it by the makers mark, what does it look like on yours? I wish I could share the Shenango Makers mark on mine with you. L. Barth & Sons. Green, only text no illustration.
